We are a high end hair salon who provides the best balayage/best balyage to the following areas: Westport hair salon, greenwich hair salon, new canaan hair salon, fairfield hair salon, weston hair salon, darien hair salon. Our clients have consistently ranked us as: best colorist, best top stylist at a ct hair salon, popular hair coloring, top hair coloring in the area. We invite you to come experience our luxury hair salon for yourself.

As with all things, it’s the ingredients. In all of our balayage and color formulas, we include bond builders standard.

Oils and bond builders are an essential first step to a healthy hair formula- especially crucial with balayage or other lightening services like highlighting.

Oils help retain the hair’s moisture during processing. It keeps the hair nice and flexible. Hydrated hair stretches, dry hair snaps.

Why is this important?

In a single process, highlight or balayage, nutrients in the individual hair strand are pulled out with ammonia, peroxide and other chemicals. Don’t be fooled- other chemical “replacements” are just as bad, if not worse. Think of this as a similar comparison like Splenda to sugar. Certain chemicals, like bleach, are actually the safest thing you could be lightening your hair with. The real difference is proper formulation and taking extra steps during the process to keep things healthy, and to ensure the best end result for your balayage or color service.

Once nutrients are taken out by the hair color chemicals, they are then replaced with synthetic molecules in the hair dye. The quality of these molecules matter. This is where those bond builders and oils come in to save the day.

More oils and bond builders = shinier, healthier hair.

Healthier hair = better balayage and color.

What are bond builders?

They are complex disulfide bonds that are synthetic versions of natural bonds found in the hair. Think of this as a tar patch on a road.

No tar patch = divot.

These divots in the hair strand equal dull, rough hair texture. Not the best foundation for perfect color or balayage, if you ask us.

Box and low-end hair dye = divots.

Not taking preventive measures during your balayage or highlight lightening process = divots.

Not keeping up with proper hair maintenance, colors, glosses and treatments to fill in hair after color has been placed on it = divots.

See where we are going with this?

You need professional hair color and a professional maintenance schedule set up by a (ideally Haus of Pretty) certified professional to achieve optimal hair coloring and balayage results. We understand the science behind the color.

It is not cheaper to go the cheaper route. Cheap ingredients give you dull, less than ideal hair. Every time.
