This appointment will allow timing for your consultation, color and color correction needs. Here, you will discuss your current hair, goals, and come up with an individualized plan with your professional focused on healthy hair and ideal color. What if I don’t need a color correction and want to book just a cut or single process root color only? We understand. Each service comes with a consultation prior to proceeding. Simply book the regular cut or single process session and write ‘New Client’ in the notes as well as any relevant information you’d like to include for us to best prepare for you. It’s my first time to the studio, where can I park?

We are lucky to be within a short walk from the Metro North Westport train station for NYC clients. If you are driving, parking is available in parallel parking and retail lots.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please show up for your color session with product free, dry hair. It’s fine if your hair has not been washed, but it needs to be free of buildup. Leaving buildup can cause interactions with professional products used, or extend the time of your appointment. Please have 1-2 pictures of hair color or style you would like. More than 2 pictures is not a good starting place because our trained eye will often see several tones within these photos. Our job is to narrow down what you would like, and get you results. Remember, oftentimes color corrections take multiple sessions to achieve goal results. Our Stylists are trained to create maximum impact while maintaining healthy hair. Healthy hair = gorgeous hair. We have to work with the products and chemicals we have, not push your hair to its breaking point. Too many salons damage hair. Not here! Please be patient and listen to your Stylists suggestions, we are trained to work with you long term and want you to be happy with your hair.

What is maintenance like?

While maintenance differs slightly for individuals, generally what is required for healthy hair is to be consistent with glosses, treatments and planning your next session. After your balayage session, we recommend you book your next gloss 4 weeks after your appointment. This is not only to keep your color looking fresh, but to maintain the health of your hair by filling the hair with necessary nutrients. Any coloring session, regardless if you use bleach lightener or something else, will deplete your hair of the nutrients it needs to feel and look healthy. It is imperative to replenish these nutrients with a proper schedule and at home maintenance, otherwise your color will not look and feel its best over time. Is balayage cost effective?

When it comes to most things and especially hair, you get what you pay for. We use premium professional chemicals and products for your session, one on one services, as well as curate a relaxing environment with amenities like wifi, refreshments and hot towel service in the heart of Saugatuck. Do we guarantee our results?

We don’t guarantee results- because real transformation takes teamwork. Much of your hair’s health depends on daily home care and staying consistent with a maintenance schedule. While we can’t control what happens outside the salon, we make it easy to stay on track with our Club Membership, which puts your appointments on autopilot and includes ongoing support. Whether you have a quick question or a hair emergency, we're just a text or email away.
